If you are experiencing a medical emergency as the result of a work injury, please go to the emergency room at Parnassus or Mission Bay, or call 9-911.

If you experience a needle stick or exosure, please call the Needlestick Hotline at 415.353.7842.

2019/20 Flu Outreach Clinic schedule
Our flu clinics are now under way.  Please follow the link above to find a location near you. 
Drop in flu immunizations are available at our Post Street, Mission Bay, and 505 Parnassus, Room M195 locations during business hours. Please bring your UCSF ID.


There are also Flu Deputies throughout various inpatient and outpatient units, who can give flu shots to employees.  You can check if there is one available near you. 

We accept flu shot documentation from outside providers, as well.  Please fax these to 415.514.5614 or email them to [email protected].


UCSF Health employees--Online flu declinations sent from a UCSF computer are now available..

We are accepting paper declinations from Campus employees and Medical Center (Health) employees not at a UCSF computer.  Please follow this link.

If you decide that you want to recieve a flu shot after you submit your declination, we are happy to immunize you.

The UCSF masking policy goes into effect November 1, 2019.

If you are injured at work
If you are a UCSF employee and are injured at work, please report the incident to your supervisor right away.  Call our main line, 415.885.7580, to make an appointment.  If this is an urgent matter and you are seeking care outside of our business hours, please go to the UCSF Emergency Department at 505 Parnassus Avenue, or to Mission Bay, 1855 Fourth Street, whichever is closest.   If this is a life-threatening emergency, call 911 (or 9-911 from a UC phone).

If you are a UCSF employee or enrolled UCSF student and experience a needle stick or exposure to bodily fluid, please get in touch with the Needlestick Hotline at 415.354.7842.  This phone number is answered 24/7.

If you are an enrolled UCSF student and are injured in the course of your clinical work, please contact UCSF Student Health & Counseling.
